Precast Reinforced Box Culvert

Thinking outside the monolithic precast reinforced concrete box culverts.

Thompson Pipe Group’s monolithic precast reinforced concrete box culverts aren’t like any other. We offer a quality-assured product that allows for faster, easier installation so you can avoid construction schedule delays. They’re great for projects where wider and shallower drainage structures are needed and where round pipe can’t provide adequate flow capacities. Because of the flexibility of RCB design, precast reinforced box culverts can be used in place of cast-in-place box culverts and multi-barrel circular culverts, for short span bridge replacement, and storm water retention & detention chambers.

Our conventional monolithic precast reinforced box culverts are poured all as one piece to create seamless four-sided boxes, which can be shipped to the jobsite for immediate installation. As engineers and contractors ourselves, we’re always thinking about projects from your perspective. When in doubt, let us put our minds together and help you troubleshoot your project with you.

Precast box

Hold it right there.

Thompson Pipe Group joints can be manufactured with either tongue-and-groove or water tight joints. And our manufacturing capabilities range from 3’ x 2’ to 14’ x 12’. Every precast reinforced box culvert is engineered to meet site-specific fill and loading conditions.

Our precast concrete is earth-friendly too, contributing to environmental stewardship in many ways. Using locally sourced building materials results in a lighter carbon footprint compared to alternative products.

Precast concrete products are cast in a factory setting. This provides tight quality control, rigid production standards and testing specifications that meet or exceed all federal, state and local standards, including the following ASTM and ASSHTO specifications. We aim to raise the standards in every product we manufacture, to deliver not only quality products but the thinking that goes behind choosing just the right materials.
