April News: TPG FRP and Flow-Crete Used in $439M Project

The Pipeline April 2021

Each month Thompson Pipe Group sends a newsletter featuring industry updates. In April The Pipeline includes a look at $439 million project in Long Island, NY. Western Bays Constructors Joint Venture will reline more than 44,000 linear feet of an existing 72″ waterline with 60″ Thompson Pipe Group fiberglass reinforced pipe (FRP) to connect two existing treatment plants. Additionally, 19,000 linear feet of 72″ Flow-Crete®, a reinforced concrete jacking pipe with an integral fiberglass reinforced pipe liner, will connect the rehabilitated line to the existing facilities.

Read this story plus find out what happened when we tested the first cross-country pipeline. Plus, TPG Vice President Branimir Kovac is appointed Board Chairman of the American Concrete Pipe Association.
