As Thompson Pipe Group Vice President of Human Resources Kenneth Schappert, an experienced executive skilled in labor relations, management and continuous improvement, will oversee HR functions for all company entities. The organization created the position to prepare for strategic growth. With a dozen years of experience in managing human capital and improving labor relations, this Florida native has held executive-level positions with other large privately held manufacturers.
Thompson Pipe Group – Pressure President Detlev Schlorke says Schappert’s experience is critical to achieving future goals. “As we position the company for growth, his expertise in union negotiations, recruitment and relationship development will be a tremendous asset.”
The family-owned company’s history and success intrigued Schappert. “In a little more than 40 years Thompson Pipe Group has grown into a nationwide company and maintained its independence; it has all the makings of a world-class employer,” he explains. “I look forward to providing the highest level of returns for all stakeholders.”
Schappert earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Tennessee where he double majored in marketing and human resources and is a graduate of the Charlotte School of Law in North Carolina. A father of two, he and his family reside in North Texas. In his spare time he enjoys archery and jiu jitsu, a Brazilian martial art and combat sport.
