Flow-Crete™

Strength Under Strain

Flow-Crete™ is a high-performance composite pipe engineered for jacking and microtunneling in pressure water and sewer applications. It merges reinforced concrete’s compressive strength with the corrosion resistance and pressure capabilities of a fiberglass reinforced liner, designed and manufactured to meet strict project requirements. Flow-Crete™ Features

Designed for Trenchless Project Requirements

Engineered to meet project‑specific loading, pressure, and equipment requirements, including custom sizing and joint configurations.

Composite Construction

Built with a high‑strength reinforced concrete outer shell and a structural TPG FRP liner for pressure and corrosion resistance.

Designed for Long and Curved Drives

Available with enhanced concrete mix designs to increase jacking strength for extended and challenging drives.

Quality Control and Mix Consistency

Produced using computerized batching systems to maintain uniform compressive strength and structural consistency.

Stainless Steel Grout Ports

Available with stainless steel grout ports for lubrication and grouting during installation.

Advantages:

  • Designed and manufactured to each customer specification and project
  • Corrosion resistant
  • Higher compressive strength mixes can be formulated increasing allowable jacking forces and longer drives
  • Integrated FRP joint system eliminates joint welding for watertightness
  • Straight or curved drives
  • Allows a single pass installation for pressure applications
  • Redundant gasket system of FRP and RCP
  • Lighter than steel and concrete
  • RCP provides rigid designs in shallow burial applications
  • Custom fittings at access pits

Typical Flow-Crete™ Applications

  • Water distribution pipelines
  • Sanitary sewer and stormwater pipelines
  • Industrial pipelines requiring corrosion‑resistant interiors
  • Pipeline installations beneath congested corridors and rail crossings
  • Pipelines installed in critical crossings such as rail, highway, or urban routes
  • Conduit for underground utility networks including telecom, electricity, and fiber optics
  • Sewer forcemains

Installation Types

  • Microtunneling
  • Pipe Jacking (Direct Jacking)
  • Open‑Cut Trenching

Key Installation Considerations and Components

  • Jacking pipes equipped with grout injection ports
  • Jacking pipes configured for use with intermediate jacking stations
  • Project‑specific fittings required only at access pits
  • Suitable for open‑cut installation in areas with low soil cover or flotation concerns
