National Assistant Operations Manager Joins Pressure Division
Mark Scabarozi, experienced leader with manufacturing background, to manage production growth
Grand Prairie, Texas – Before scheduled production begins of a 100-mile steel pipeline, Thompson Pipe Group-Pressure adds Mark Scabarozi as the new National Assistant Operations Manager. With continued growth expected for 2020, the position was created to ensure quality products are delivered on time. Based in Grand Prairie, Texas, he provides oversight of all pressure production facilities.
Manufacture of the Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust Atoka Pipeline, one of the largest water pipelines in North America, is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020. In addition to steel pipe, Scabarozi will oversee production of bar-wrapped, prestressed concrete cylinder pipe and fittings at all Thompson Pipe Group pressure locations.
Prior to joining Thompson Pipe Group, Scabarozi was General Manager of operations for the central division of a steel manufacturing company in Arkansas. Additionally, he held leadership positions in logisitics for a Fortune 500 company.
Pressure Division President Detlev Schlorke says Scabarozi’s experience in steel production makes him an asset to the organization. “Mark’s background is well-suited for this position,” he says. “He is personable, has strong leadership skills, and understands the importance of producing quality pipe.”
Challenging work in a supportive atmosphere drew the father of three to the family-owned company. “Thompson Pipe Group’s depth and breadth of pipe production is exciting,” he says. “Leadership is nimble and quick to take action; publicly held companies struggle to replicate this type of atmosphere.”
A graduate of the Missouri University of Science and Technology, he holds a bachelor’s in engineering management-industrial engineering. He resides in North Texas with his family.
