In 2019 Thompson Pipe Group completed manufacturing of concrete and steel pipe for the largest water public-private partnership in North America.
Pipe Selection
The project required 54” and 60” bar-wrapped (C303) and steel pipe, respectively. The majority of the line is bar-wrapped pipe. C303 is common in Texas and throughout other parts of the region. Benefits include:
- Corrosion resistance
- Available diameters
- Affordable installation
- No welding required during installation
Additionally, our circular O-ring gasket provides a highly dependable positive joint seal:
- Made of high quality synthetic rubber with high tensile strength
- Extruded to exacting tolerances
- Measured volumetrically for 100% fill
- The gasket fits within a precisely shaped spigot groove and is completely confined when the joint is made.
